Margot is the director of Apple Arts NYC, a non-profit arts education organization based in New York City. She began her career in non-profit management as a program director for Art Start Inc. Margot has worked as a researcher, consultant and educator for various non-profit organizations. She also earned a masters degree in education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she was awarded the Leadership in Education award.
In addition to her work in this area, Margot is a painter and illustrator. If you put her in a room with art supplies, she will be happy.
Never homesick as a child, Margot has taken great joy in traveling for most of her life. She has traveled to over 20 countries, the most recent of which was Peru.
In 2005, she completed an artist residency in Northeast Brazil, where she lived for a year. She loves the beach, the mountains, open air markets, Chinatown, grassy fields, learning new languages, trying new foods, and walking through the streets of cities big and small. Margot resides in Brooklyn, New York where she enjoys the company, food, music and culture of people from all over the world.
